March 7 2020 CGA Women’s Golf Summit – CU Denver South (Rules. World Handicap, Golf Genius, etc)

April 5 2020 PCLGA Registration and Fees Due

May 14 9:00 AM Open Play Meadow/Ranch. Show before the tee time and players will organize themselves into groups.

May 21 9:00 AM Low Gross/ Low Net Meadow/Ranch. Prizes will be awarded for Low Gross and Low Net

Wednesday May 27 11:30 AM Fontenot’s Spring Luncheon

May 28 9:00 AM Nassau Ranch/Ranch. Prizes will be awarded for Low Gross and Low Net for the front 9, back 9 and the overall 18 round.

*June 4 8:00 AM Drop It Ridge/ Meadow. Players can drop their three worst holes after the game is played.  Prizes will be awarded for low gross and low net.

*June 11 8:00 AM  Four Person Best Ball Ridge/Ranch. Each team will consist of a randomly created ABCD combination (three-somes will be a blind draw). Teams of four will play their own golf balls throughout and the lowest score between them on each hole counts as the team score.  Record gross scores and Golf Genius will do the rest.  Prizes will be awarded to teams for low gross and low net.

June 18 8:00 AM  PGA Pick a Pro Ridge/Ranch. Pick your favorite PGA Pro playing in the RBC Heritage golf tournament on Thursday before teeing off. That pro’s Friday round score will be added to yours to give you two a win! Gross and net will be awarded.

June 25 8:00 AM Nassau. Courses TBD. Winners for front nine, back nine and 18 holes.

*July 2  8:00 AM Gross / Net Skins Ridge/ Meadow. Lowest gross and lowest net per hole in each flight will win the money for that hole. If there is a tie, the money carries over to the next hole.  Record gross scores each player.

July 9 8:00 AM Solheim Cup Alternate Shot Match Play Meadow/Ranch. On each hole, Player A from each team hits their team’s respective tee shots. Then Player B from each team hits the second shot. Then the third shot is hit by Player A, and so on, until the ball is holed. Players drive on alternate holes regardless of who last putted on the previous hole. The team in each foursome with the lower score wins the hole. The team winning the most holes wins the match. The US Team and Europe Teams each have a Team Captain and team uniform/ colors.  Sign-up deadline is: July 2nd to allow time to set up teams and team strategy. Once your match is over, continue to play and complete the 18-hole round. Rules and Handicap Clinic after golf today. All members are encouraged to attend.

July 16 8:00 AM Gold Tee Day / Red Tee Option for HI≥23/CH 25 Meadow/Ranch.  Players with Handicap Index (HI) ≤ 22/ Course Handicap (CH) 24 must play Gold Tees. (HI) ≥ 23/ (CH) 25 play Red Tees unless player opts to sign-up for Gold Tees. Prizes will be given for both low gross and low net for both Gold and Red tees.

July 23 8:00 AM Match Play Meadow/Ranch. Each hole is a separate competition. The player with the higher handicap will be given strokes on the most difficult holes. The player who wins the most holes wins the match. 50% of us will be winners! There will be 2 Flights.

*July 30 8:00 AM Stableford Ridge/ Meadow. Record your gross score. Golf Genius will compute your Stableford score based on Net score. Points awarded as follows: Double Eagle 5 pts, Eagle 4 pts, Birdie 2 pts, Par 0 pts, Bogey -1 pt, Double Bogey or more -3 pts.

Aug 6 8:00 AM Cha Cha Cha  Meadow/Ranch. No, it’s not a dance. It’s a twist on a traditional four ball format. On the first hole, you count the best ball of the foursome. On the second hole, you count the best two.  On the third, count the best three.  The process then repeats counting the best ball on the fourth hole, best 2 on the fifth hole and so on. All you do is enter your gross scores!

Aug 13  8:00 AM Pink Ball Meadow/Ranch. Pairings will have ABCD players.  Player A plays the pink ball on the first hole, player B plays it on the second, player C on the third, player D on the fourth, then it repeats, with Player A finishing on the ninth hole.  Repeat on second nine.  Team score will be the sum of the pink ball scores. Record your gross score.

*Aug 20 8:30 AM Flighted Low Gross/Low Net Ranch/Ridge.  Flighted play to preview next week’s Club Championship. Prizes will be awarded for low gross and low net in each flight.  Record your gross score.

Aug 26 8:30 AM Club Championship Meadow/ Ranch. Flighted pairings will be made according to handicaps, low to high. Record your gross score.

Aug 27 8:30 AM Club Championship / Luncheon Ranch/Ridge. Pairings will be made according to the results from Wednesday, low to high. Record your gross score.

*Sept 3 8:30 AM Tee to Green Ridge/ Meadow Record your gross score and your total number of putts on the scorecard.  After play, subtract your putts from your total scores.  This will be your total shots from tee to green. The winners will be determined by the best score minus half of your course handicap.

Sept 10 9:00 AM Best Ball Meadow/Ranch. Teams of four will play their own golf balls throughout and the lowest score between them on each hole counts as the team score.  Prizes awarded to low gross and low net. Horse Race – Following play, all players start on the 1st hole. The highest 4 scores are eliminated on #1. The remaining players tee off on #2. The highest 3 scores are eliminated, and so on until the best player stands. Prizes awarded for 1st and 2nd place in the Horse Race.  After you are eliminated, you are encouraged to cheer on the other players. The Bev Cart will accompany us. You will receive a complimentary drink and more can be purchased!

Sept 17 9:30 AM 3 Clubs and a Putter Meadow/Ranch. Choose 3 clubs and a putter for your golf bag. Leave the rest of your clubs in your car.  Record gross scores on scorecard.  Scores can’t be posted.

Sept 24 9:30 AM Nassau Meadow/Ranch. Prizes will be awarded for Low Gross and Low Net for the front 9, the back 9 and the overall 18 round.

October Open Play: Show before the tee time and players will organize themselves into groups.

Sign up or cancel online before 6 pm Monday for the following Thursday’s play on Golf Genius www.golfgenius.com.  Be sure to click on SAVE and WAIT for the save to process before going to another webpage. Golf Genius locks out access to sign-up or cancel at 6 pm Monday.  If you must cancel after that time, text or call Mary Brooks (303) 494-3031 or Cindy Moynahan (970) 531-8717.  Do not contact the Pro Shop for changes or cancellations.

We will do our best to mix up the pairings and start holes. Special requests and last minute cancellations make this more difficult, so bear this in mind to be considerate of everyone in the club.

CHECK IN as requested during Covid-19 precautions (typically 15 minutes before your tee time)
Days, starting times, games and course played may be adjusted when necessary.

  • Wednesday May 27 at 11:30 am – Spring Luncheon at Fontenot’s
  • July 9 – Solheim Cup Alternate Shot Match Play. Sign-up deadline July 2nd.
  • July 9 – Rules / Handicap Clinic immediately after play
  • August 26 & 27 – Club Championship; Luncheon after golf on August 27nd – Andrea Singleton’s home.

Scorecards:  

  • *When playing Ridge/Meadow, Ridge is the Front 9 on your scorecard.
  • *When playing Ranch/Ridge, Ranch is the Front 9 on your scorecard.
  • Record Gross Score legibly on scorecard. Tournament Chairs will compute game score.
  • Keep Putts for the foursome on a separate scorecard.
  • Circle your gross birdies.
  • All 4 players must sign the Master scorecard. Your signature verifies that each hole score, front 9, back 9 and total 18 hole score is correct.
  • All players should keep their own scorecard and putts to verify the master scorecard accuracy before handing it in to the tournament chairs.
