Here’s your chance to have fun and learn about match play. We will have 2 flights and 50% of us will be winners!

May 31   11:30 AM          Fontenot’s Spring Luncheon Meeting  *Note: This is a Wednesday.

June 1     8:30 AM           Nassau 2 Person Team Game (Meadow-Ranch)
Prizes are awarded for the lowest gross and lowest net score in each flight for both the front and back nines.  Players record gross/net on card.

June 8*      8:00 AM          Pet Holes (Ridge-Meadow)
Before you start, pick out and circle on your scorecard 2 par 3’s, 5 par 4’s and 2 par 5’s.  Enter the gross score for the selected holes. Subtract 50% of your handicap = game score.

June 15      8:00 AM          2 Person Best Ball (gross and net) Guest Day (Meadow-Ranch)
All members are encouraged to play.  Bring a guest and you will be paired together! Members without a guest will be computer paired.  Record gross/net for each player. Score the best gross and best net score of the two players on each hole. Total your best gross/net for your team. Putt and Chip-in Pots for members and guests. Other prizes: closest to the pin 4 Meadow and longest drive 18 Ranch. Stay for lunch with our guests!

June 22      8:00 AM          Gross/Net Skins – 2 Flights  (Meadow-Ranch)
Lowest gross and lowest net per hole will win the money for that hole (50 cents for gross and 50 cents for net per hole).  If there is a tie, the money carries over to the next hole.  Record gross/net for each player.  Skins will be determined by a Pro Shop software program after the round.

June 29*     8:00 AM        Partner Relay – Partner Event (Ridge-Meadow)
Players record their gross/net scores on every hole. For the Team Score record the lower handicap partner’s net score on all odd numbered holes and the higher handicap player’s net score on all even numbered holes on the 2 dedicated lines below for low gross and low net.  Team scorecard with 1 line for low gross and 1 line for low net and score of the other team in your foursome.

July 6       8:00 AM          Birdie Bash (Meadow-Ranch)
Players with the most points for net birdies, eagles and albatross are the winners. Record gross/net for each player per hole and final score. Circle each: net birdie (1 point), net eagle (2 points), net albatross (3 points).  Tournament chairs will record the point values and final score.

July 13        8:00 AM          Improve Your Score (aka Ringers on Meadow) (Meadow-Meadow)
Play the Meadow twice. Record gross and net for each hole, each nine. Choose your BEST score for the hole.  Total your best 9 holes (like ringer scoring).

July 20        8:00 AM          Rally for Rural Health Network 4 Person Scramble (Meadow-Ranch)
(Categories: Ladies, Mixed). Choose your foursome or computer selects for members w/o a foursome.  Record the score for the foursome on each hole. No Putt or Chip-in Pots. This is a fundraiser for our Grand County Rural Health Network.

July 27        8:00 AM          Sweet Sixteen (Meadow-Ranch)
Record gross score on each hole. Before you total your card, discard 1 hole from the front & 1 hole  from the back. Total the 16 scores and record the game’s gross score. Then subtract full handicap for game net score.

Aug 3           8:00 AM         Low Net Plus Putts (Meadow-Ranch)
Record gross and putts, eg. 42. At end of round subtract your handicap and then               add the putts to the net score for the game score.

Aug 10       8:00 AM        Arizona 2 Person Scramble (Ridge-Meadow)
Both tee off. Pick best shot and from there and then both play your own ball in to the hole. Circle best score on card. Exchange your team card with the other team for scoring.  No posting of score today.

Aug 17        8:30 AM         Blind Partner (Gross & net)  (Meadow-Ranch)
Record your gross score on the card.  Subtract your handicap from gross score for your net score total.  Blind partners will be determined by Pro Shop.

Aug 23        8:30 AM         Club Championship (Ranch/Ridge)
Record gross. Subtract handicap for net.   (Pairings as before – low handicaps on 1st hole.).  Sign up in locker room for Club Championship.

Aug 24        8:30 AM         Club Championship / Luncheon  (Meadow/ Ranch)
Record  gross. Subtract handicap for net.  Sign up in locker room for Club Championship and Luncheon.

Aug 31        8:30 AM         Easiest Holes (Meadow-Ranch)
Record your gross score on each hole.  Total the gross  scores of the 9 easiest holes highlighted on your card. Subtract 50% of the handicap for net total score.

Sept 7*      9:00 AM          Mystery Holes (Ridge-Meadow)
Pro shop will randomly draw any nine holes. The holes will be identified at the end of the round.  Record your gross score.   Tournament chairs will calculate your gross for the mystery holes minus 50% of your handicap for net game score.          

Sept 14      9:00 AM          Flags (Meadow-Ranch)
TEE TIMES  Everyone tees off on # 1. Your flag has a # of strokes on it (par 72 + your course handicap).  Leave your flag where your ball lands when you hit the # of strokes on your flag. The person whose flag is placed furthest on the course is the winner. On scorecard record gross score and indicate where exactly on the course you left your flag as a double check in case we can’t locate your flag. Tournament chair will be in last group and pick up flags.   WATCH YOUR EMAIL ON WEDNESDAY FOR TEE TIMES.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your tee time and no later than 9:00 am for check-in! (Putt/ chip-in person in 1st group and in 2nd or 3rd to last group. TC’s in 1st and in last group.)

Sept 21       9:30 AM         3 Clubs and a Putter (Meadow-Ranch)
Choose three clubs and a putter for your golf bag. Leave the rest of your clubs in the car. Record gross/net scores on scorecard.

Sept 28       9:30 AM        David and Goliath (Meadow-Ranch)
Total the gross scores for the 5 longest holes and for the 4 shortest holes to arrive at the 9 hole gross score and subtract 50% of handicap for net score.
