The Pole Creek Ladies golf league enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day on Thursday June 29th playing a Partner Relay tournament. The partner with the lower handicap,recorded their net score on the odd holes and the partner with the higher handicap recorded their net score on the even holes. At the end of play they totaled the 18 holes for the team net score. The winners were: 1st Flight Tie} Susan Odneal/Maggy Helm 70, Mary Byerrum/Helen Brown 70. 2nd Flight: 1st Place Mary Regehr/Andrea Singleton 66, 2nd Place Jeanne Anne MacDonald/Linda Seale 70. Helen Brown had the fewest putts with 26. Deb Kohlwey, Maggy Helm, Mary Brooks, Pat Riddell, Sandy Williams, and Andrea Singleton all shared chipped in pot.

The Pole Creek Ladies golf league enjoyed a hot, summer day June 22 playing a Gross/Net Skins tournament. There was a large turn out for the event that had two flights. The winners were: 1st Flight: Susie Noel, Deb Kohlwey, Lori Myers, Gigi Dominguez, Betty Williams, Cindy Moynahan, Susan Odneal, Katie Simpson, Pat Venzke, and Julie Richards. 2nd Flight: Jeanne Anne MacDonald, Cathy Malone, Mary Regehr, Mary Brooks, Andy Singleton, and Madelyne Stevens. Pat Riddell had the fewest putts with 30. Congratulations to Andy Singleton as she was the only person that chipped in and she had two.

The Pole Creek Ladies golf league enjoyed an awesome day of golf on Thursday June 8th playing a Pet Holes Tournament. Before their round of golf the Ladies picked their favorite 9 holes out of their 18, those included 2 Par “3s”, 5 Par “4s”, and 2 Par “5s”. The Ladies recorded their gross and net scores for those holes. The winners were: Low Gross 1st place Susie Noel 39, 2nd place Maggy Helm 43, 3rd place tie} Lori Myers 44. Low Net 1st place tie} Betty Williams 30.5, Julie Richards 30.5, 2nd Place Suzy Peterson 31. Maggy Helm and Julie Richards had the fewest putts with 30. Maggy Helm and Jennifer Croft shared the chip in pot.

JUNE 1
The Pole Creek Ladies golf league enjoyed a sunny spring day on Thursday June 1st, playing a “2 Person Nassau Team” game. The players recorded the best gross and net score for each hole of their team. Prizes were awarded for the best front and back nine scores. The winners were: 1st Place Front 9 Low Gross Team Tie} Cindy Moynahan/ Pam Brown 40, Julie Richards/ Jennifer Croft 40, 1st Place Low Net Team: Julie Richards/ Jennifer Croft 24. Back 9 Low Gross 1st Place Team: Susie Noel/ Suzy Peterson 41, 1st Place Low Net: Team Mary Byerrum/ Sue Seemann 26. Julie Richards had the fewest putts with 28. Beth Daniel, Gigi Dominguez, Susie Noel and Marie Johannes all shared the large chip in pot.

The Pole Creek Ladies golf league kicked off for the summer season with a Match Play tournament on May 25. Despite the inclement weather, there was a good turnout of ladies eager to play golf and have fun. The ladies were paired up with a partner. Each hole was a separate competition with the player with the fewest strokes winning the hole; the player with the most holes, winning the match. The winners were: Maggy Helm, Gigi Dominguez, Betty Williams, Helen Brown, Diane Bishop, Sandy Williams, Deb Kohlwey, and Susie Noel. Susie Noel had the fewest putts with 30 followed by Deb Kohlwey with 31.

On Thursday, September 29 the Pole Creek Ladies golf league finished off their season with a “Low Gross/Low Net tournament on a beautiful fall day. After the ladies completed their round they totaled their gross score and subtracted their full handicap for their net score. The winners were: Low Gross 1st Place Susie Noel 88, 2nd Place Mary Byerrum 90, 3rd Place Maggy Helm 91. Low Net 1st Place Jennifer Croft 64, 2nd Place Susie Peterson 66, 3rd Place Helen Brown 69. Diane Bishop had the fewest putts with 28. Pam Brown, Susie Noel and Jeanne Anne MacDonald shared the chip in pot. It was a great season and the Ladies look forward to new members.

On Thursday September 22 the Pole Creek Ladies golf league enjoyed a spectacular fall day playing a team event ” Christmas in September”. After the Ladies completed their round of golf they replaced their three worst holes with par and totaled their score. The teams totaled their gross score and subtracted the team handicap for their net score. The winning teams were: 1st Place Gross Maggy Helm, Mary Byerrum, Mary Brooks, and Darlene Klancke 366. 1st Place Net Diane Bishop, Jeanne Anne MacDonald, Julie Sawyer and “blind draw’ 269. Maggy Helm, Darlene Klancke, Pat Riddell, and Susan Odneal all shared the chip in pot. Jeanne Anne MacDonald had the fewest putts with 30.

On Thursday September 15 the Pole Creek Ladies golf league endured a chilly, blustery day playing a “Ringers” tournament. The Ladies played the Meadow course twice and added the best score from each hole for their gross score and subtracted 1/2 of their handicap for their net score.

The winners were: Low Gross 1st Place Mary Byerrum 38, 2nd Place Susie Noel 39, 3rd Place Pat Riddell 41. Low Net 1st Place Julie Sawyer 29, 2nd Place Tie} Jeanne Anne MacDonald 30, Linda Moore 30, 3rd Place Tie} Norma Colosimo 31, Helen Brown 31, Mary Regehr 31, Julie Richards 31. Pat Riddell had 2 chip ins and Sandy Williams had 1. Linda Moore and Pat Riddell had the fewest putts with 29.

The winners were: Low Gross: 1st Place Tie} Susan Odneal 43, Michelle DeFrange 43, 2nd Place Pat Riddell 44, 3rd Place Cindy Moynahan 45. Low Net: 1st Place Susie Peterson 33.5, 2nd Place Katie Simpson 35, 3rd Place Beth Daniels 35.5. Betty Williams had the fewest putts with 28 and Madelyne Stevens and Cindy Moynahan shared the chip in pot.

Maggy Helm, Jennifer Croft and Madelyn Stevens all shared the chip in pot.

Linda Moore and Jeanne Anne MacDonald had the fewest putts with 31. Carol Stott and Susie Noel shared the large chip in pot.

The Pole Creek Ladies golf league had a large turnout and spectacular weather for their annual 2 day Club Championship tournament on August 17th and 18th. After play on Thursday, the Ladies went to a fabulous luncheon hosted by fellow team mates at Pat Wischmann’s house.The Club Championship results and end of the season prizes were awarded and the Ladies discussed league business. The Club Champion for the 3rd consecutive year is Susie Noel, Congratulations! The winners were: 1st Flight Low Gross: 2nd Place Deb Kohlwey, 3rd Place Michelle DeFrange. 1st Flight Low Net: 1st Place Helen Brown, 2nd Place Marie Johannes, 3rd Place Mary Byerrum. 2nd Flight Low Gross: 1st Place Beth Daniel, 2nd Place Cathy Malone, 3rd Place Kate Labelle. 2nd Flight Low Net: 1st Place Andrea Singleton, 2nd Place Darlene Klancke, 3rd Place Pat Venzke. Helen Brown and Mary Brooks were the seasons winners for Match Play, and Madelyne Stevens was the most improved golfer.

On Thursday August 11 the Pole Creek Ladies golf league enjoyed a cool summer day playing a “Low Gross/ Low Net” tournament. After the Ladies completed their 18-hole round they totaled their gross score and subtracted their full handicap to get their net score. The winners were: Low Gross 1st Place Susie Noel 79, 2nd Place Pat Riddell 91, 3rd Place Lori Myers 92. Low Net 1st Place Beth Daniel 66, 2nd Place Andrea Singleton 68, 3rd Place Tie} Cathy Malone 69, Julie Sawyer 69, Sue Seemann 69. Susie Noel had the fewest putts with 30. There were no chip ins this week so the pot will increase for another week. The Ladies are playing their annual two-day Club Championship tournament next.

After they completed their round of golf, they totaled their best 16 holes and subtracted their full handicap.The Low Net winners were: 1st Place Pam Brown 49, 2nd Place Diane Bishop 50, 3rd Place Cathy Malone 52. Linda Moore had the fewest putts with 28. The chip in pot was shared with Diane Bishop, Jennifer Croft, Stacy Hoffer, and Cathy Malone.

On Thursday July 21 the Pole Creek ladies golf league played a “6-6-6-” team event tournament. The teams used one best Net ball score on holes 1-6, two best Net ball scores on holes 7-12, and three best Net ball scores on 13-18. The winning teams were: 1st Place team: Beth Daniels, Pam Brown, Stacy Hoffer and Deb Kohlwey 128, 2nd Place team: Helen Brown, Gigi Dominguez, Madelyne Stevens, Mary Regehr 130. 3rd Place team: Lori Myers, Mary Byerrum, Sandy Williams, Mary Brooks 132. Susie Noel had the fewest putts with 29 and 9 Ladies shared the chip in pot.

On Thursday July 14 the Pole Creek Ladies golf league enjoyed a blissful, summer day playing a “Friendly Fours” tournament. At the end of their round they recorded their gross and net scores for the “Par Fours” only. The Low Gross winners were: 1st place Pat Riddell 48, 2nd place Susie Noel 49, 3rd place Cindy Moynahan 50. The Low Net winners were: 1st place Mary Regehr 33, 2nd place tie} Darlene Klancke 34, Stacy Hoffer 34, 3rd place Sue Seemann 36. Julie Sawyer had the lowest putts with 32. Julie Sawyer and Pam Brown shared the chip in pot.

On Thursday July 7 the Pole Creek Ladies golf league hosted their 3rd annual “Rally for Rural Health” tournament. Thanks to Gigi Dominguez and her committee, there were 60 players. $4,300 was raised for Rural Health, and the money helps our cancer patients here in Grand County. The players wore purple and played a 4-person scramble. Players were able to purchase mulligans, raffle tickets and bid on silent auction items.

1st Place Ladies Team: Teresa Hood, Kate LaBelle, Pam Brown, Andrea Singleton.
1st Place Coed Team: Lori Myers, Jim Myers, Susan Odneal, Bill Reinhardt.
The longest drive was Teresa Hood and Jordon Dominguez.
Closest to the pin was Jennifer Croft and Ron Williams.
Pat Venzke and Andy Hoffer won prizes for wearing the most purple.
