2018 PCLGA Schedule
* Indicates dates playing Ridge/Meadow. Ridge is the 1st 9 on your scorecard.

May 17 9:00 AM Open Play Meadow/Ranch

May 24 9:00 AM Best 9 Holes Meadow/Ranch. Choose best 9 holes either front or back and subtract 50% of your course handicap. Prizes for low gross and low net.

May 30 (Wednesday) 11:30 AM Spring Luncheon at  Fontenot’s

May 31 8:30 AM Mystery Holes Meadow/Ranch. Pro shop will randomly draw any nine holes. The holes will be identified at the end of the round. Record your gross score. Tournament chairs will calculate your gross for the mystery holes minus 50% of your handicap for net game score.

*June 7 8:00 AM Sweet Sixteen Ridge/ Meadow.  Record gross score on each hole. Before you total your card, discard 1 hole from the front & 1hole from the back. Total the 16 scores and record the game gross score. Then subtract full handicap for game net score.

June 14 8:00 AM Big Girl Day – Yellow Tees Meadow/Ranch. We will play from the yellow tees and prizes will be given for Low Gross and Low Net. Don’t worry; we will get more pops playing from the yellow tees!

June 21 8:00 AM 2018 Pole Creek Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament Meadow/Ranch. Ladies only tournament. Open to Grand County Residents, 2nd Homeowners and Friends. 4 person scramble. Prizes & Fun Contest Holes. Registration deadline: June 7th. Fee: $20 includes lunch and $60 green fee (if don’t have a season pass).

June 28 8:00 AM Solheim Cup Alternate Shot Match Play Meadow/Ranch. On each hole, one player (Player A) from each team hits their team’s respective tee shots. Then the other player (Player B) from each team hits the second shot. Then the third shot is hit by Player A, and so on, until the ball is holed. Players drive on alternate holes regardless of who last putted on the previous hole. The teams compare scores, and the team with the lower score wins the hole. Whichever team wins the most holes wins the match. There will be a US Team and a Europe Team each with a Team Captain and a team uniform/ colors TBD by the
team. Sign-up deadline: June 14th to allow time to set up teams and team strategy. $2 entry fee due to Susie Noel.

July 5* 8:00 AM Odds Out – Evens In Ridge/ Meadow. Count odd holes on the front 9 and even holes on the back 9. Subtract 50% of your course handicap. Prizes for low gross and low net.

July 12 8:00 AM Pet Holes Meadow/Ranch. Before you start, pick out & circle on your scorecard 2 par 3’s, 5 par 4’s and 2 par 5’s. Enter the gross score for the selected holes. Subtract 50% of your handicap = game score. Rules, Handicap, Greens Clinic after golf today. All members are encouraged to attend1

**July 19 8:00 AM  Low Gross/ Low Net  Meadow/Ranch Prizes will be awarded for Low Gross and Low Net in each Flight 1 and 2. Other prizes will be awarded: Flight 1: Longest Drive #2 (Meadow) and Closest to the Pin #11 (Ranch).  Flight 2: Closest to the Pin #4 (Meadow) and Longest Drive #18 (Ranch). **Après Golf at Adolfs

July 26 8:00 AM Match Play Meadow/Ranch. Each hole is a separate competition. The player with the higher handicap will be given strokes on the most difficult holes. The player who wins the most holes wins the match. 50% of us will be winners!

*Aug 2 8:00 AM ONES Ridge/ Meadow. Total for all holes beginning with O-N-E-S. Ridge is the front 9. #1,6,7,8,9,11,16,17,18. Subtract 50% of handicap. Prizes for low net.

Aug 9 8:00 AM Skills Day Meadow/Ranch. Prizes awarded for: Closest to the pin, Drive closest to the centerline, Longest putt (while on the green), Longest drive, Fairways F (most # fairways hit on drive), Greenies G (most # of greens hit in regulation), Fishies FI (making par on a hole in which you found water), Sandies S (making par on a hole when you were in the sand), Barkies B (making par if you hit a tree), Arnies A (making a par, when never on the fairway).

Aug 16 8:00 AM Hot Ball Meadow/Ranch. 4 Person team game: 1 person plays their ball; the other 3 play a scramble on that hole. After all 4 people drive, the team decides who is the Hot Ball and the other 3 play a scramble. Each player needs to be the Hot Ball once on the front and once on the back nine.  Record “HB” for the player and corresponding hole.

*Aug 22 8:30 AM Club Championship Ranch/Ridge. Record gross. Subtract handicap for net. (Pairings as before – low handicaps on 1st hole.)

Aug 23 8:30 AM Club Championship / Luncheon Meadow/ Ranch. Record gross. Subtract handicap for net.

Aug 30 8:30 AM Circle 9 Meadow/Ranch. Players circle 9 holes they want to count before teeing off. Subtract 50% of the handicap for net total score. Prizes for low gross and low net.

*Sept 6 9:00 AM Aces Wild Ridge/ Meadow. Subtract all 1 putts from gross score. Then subtract 100% of course handicap. Prizes for low gross and low net.

Sept 13 9:00 AM 2 Person Best Ball Nassau Meadow/Ranch. Prizes are awarded for the lowest gross and lowest net score for the front 9, the back 9, and the 18 hole score.
Horse Race – Following Nassau play, all players start on the 1st hole. The highest score is eliminated. The rest of the players tee off on the 2nd hole, order determined by honor. The highest score is once again eliminated, and so on until the best player stands. Prizes will be awarded for Low Gross & Low Net as well as the winner of the Horse Race. (Separate sign-up
for Horse Race using GolfGenius.com) Once you are eliminated, you are encouraged to come along to cheer on the other players The Beverage Cart will accompany us. You will receive a complimentary drink and more can be purchased!

Sept 20 9:30 AM Criers and Whiners Meadow/Ranch. This is a game of do-overs; 50% of your course handicap = the # of mulligans you can use from any point on the course. You cannot use a mulligan on your first tee shot of the day and no shot can be replayed twice.

Sept 27  9:30 AM Bingo, Bango, Bongo Meadow/Ranch. The first player in the group to get the ball on the green gets a point (Bingo). The player whose ball is closest to the pin once all the balls are on the green gets a point (Bango). The first player in the group who is first to hole the ball gets a point (Bongo). Prizes are awarded to the players who finish the round with the most points. Yes, you need to play Honors Golf, not Ready Golf when approaching and on the green, so keep play moving please!

Sign up online before 9pm Monday for the following Thursday’s play. If you need to cancel, do so on the PCLGA website by 9pm Monday. Online signup tool locks out access to sign-up or cancel at 9pm Monday. If you must cancel after that time, text or call Lori Myers at (970) 531-0006 or Diane Bishop (970) 531-8851. We will do our best to mix up the pairings and start holes. Special requests and last minute cancellations make this more difficult, so bear this in mind and be considerate of everyone in the club. CHECK IN at least 30 minutes before our shotgun start.
Days, starting times, games and course played may be adjusted when necessary.

Scorecards:
Record Gross/Net legibly on scorecard unless otherwise specified.
Keep Putts for the foursome on a separate scorecard.
Circle your gross birdies.
Master scorecard should be signed by the scorekeeper and signed to attest by another player.
All players should keep their own scorecard and putts to verify with the master scorecard before handing
in to the tournament chairs.
Team games – switch scorecards with other team.
Club Championship – switch scorecards.
